Training for professionals

Those training modules in evaluation and management of health risks are parts of the InterRisk Master program which focuses the One Health approach. One Health recognizes that the health of humans, animals and ecosystems are interconnected. Those modules are tailored for health professionals who are keen to continue their career development. InterRisk modules train future risk managers from real cases problem-solving, which gives them a genuine practical experience. Six diseases (rabies, Japanese encephalitis, leptospirosis, cysticercosis, antibiotic resistance and influenza) are used as examples in each module in order to study them extensively from different perspectives. InterRisk program allows participants to connect themselves to an international and cross sectorial network of professionals.

Modules will take place at the Veterinary Faculty of Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand and can be took one after the other or alone. All teachings will be performed in English.

By following those modules you will acquire specific competencies in technical skills but you will as well enhance your understanding of One Health approach from a global perspective. The emphasis is put on practical work which allows you to get a deep expertise on how to work collaboratively across human, animal and ecosystemic fields. Finally, you will develop new skills which enable you to successfully function as an integral part of a larger, multi-disciplinary, team of professionals. Branching out and meeting new professionals will expose you to new ideas and will give the opportunity to meet others who may be able to help your career in the future.

Lecturers

Courses will be delivered by professors and researchers from Kasetsart University, Toulouse National Veterinary School, CIRAD and by various professionals from organizations involved in cross sectorial approaches of health issues in SEA.
