USAID-funded Preparedness & Response and PREDICT projects

Organizer of Operationalizing One Health: From Assessment to Action

The Preparedness & Response project works in 15 countries in Africa and Southeast Asia to strengthen national systems, policies, and practices for the prevention, detection, and response to public health threats. P&R also provides One Health coordination leadership at the regional and global level.

PREDICT is enabling global surveillance for pathogens that can spillover from animal hosts to people by building capacities to detect and discover viruses of pandemic potential. Core partners include the UC Davis One Health Institute, EcoHealth Alliance, Metabiota, Wildlife Conservation Society, and Smithsonian Institution.

Both projects are part of USAID’s Emerging Pandemic Threats program.
