CIRAD is working with organizations and universities in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam to step up scientific exchanges and regionalize research operations centring on common agricultural development issues.

A few details

Around thirty CIRAD researchers are working at national and regional research centres, higher education establishments and rural development organizations.

Priority is given to regional certificate courses

Collaboration with higher education establishments in the region. Certificate courses and vocational training, workshops, teaching sessions, study trips and other courses.

  • Higher-level courses run with universities: for example Franco-Thai Masters in infectious, vector-borne and food-borne diseases (MIVA), since 2009 to 2011.
  • Certificate courses from the National University of Laos and the Royal University of Agriculture in Phnom Penh.
  • Numerous PhD or Masters students from throughout Asia supervised each year.
  • Short-term teaching and training courses run for students from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand in host laboratories in the North.
