ICOHAR International Conference on One Health Antimicrobial Resistance

Last update: 1 July 2015

Sep. 30 - Oct. 02, 2015 at Festsalen, Copenhagen University, Frue Plads, 1168 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Over the last years, we have observed an increasing trend in the occurrence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria in both humans and animals.

Some MDR bacteria of major concern in human medicine, i.e. ESBL and MRSA, are increasingly reported in both food-producing and companion animals. Consequently, the possible zoonotic implications of antimicrobial resistance have attracted considerable attention from the scientific community and human and animal health professionals, as well as relevant stakeholders involved in livestock production and veterinary medicine manufacture.

We are therefore pleased to announce the first.

International Conference on One Health Antimicrobial Resistance -ICOHAR

The conference is supported by 3 distinct projects funded by the EU Commission (TRAIN-ASAP), the Danish Research Council for Strategic Research (DanCARD) and the University of Copenhagen (UC-Care), respectively.

ICOHAR brings together representatives from the public health, medical and veterinary sectors, and scientists working in antimicrobial drug discovery, prevention, treatment and control of multidrug-resistant bacteria.

The scope of the Conference is to share cutting-edge research and promote interdisciplinary and intersectorial collaboration in this field through a One Health approach.

Please visit the website for more information about the programme, registration and abstract submission.
